I’ve been privately advocating this for some time, for Dentist clients, at one point going so far as to do it in cooperation with a client at SofTouch(TM) Dental.
It’s called “$99 Dental” and would cover all but ortho and anything related to oral surgery beyond minor extractions.

I just read a blog post by a guy, Fred Joyal. Yes, I’ve mentioned Fred before. He had some inclination to create a post, “Why is dentistry so expensive?”
